Adoption policies and procedures

  •     Complete an online adoption application. You must be 21 years of age and older.
  •     We do not adopt out dogs as gifts, please include all family members in the decision process.
  •     Once the application is approved we will set up a home visit.

A volunteer will bring the dog to your home to preform a check the house and yard for safety.

If there is anywhere the dog can escape, we cannot complete the adoption.

We do the home visit to also ensure all pets in the home get along.

  •      If all goes well and we all agree, we will finalize the adoption and your new pet will stay!
  •     Adoption fee vary per pet. Please check the pets description for all information

If you would like to add a new family member, please view our dogs for adoption and submit the adoption application.

 Why should I adopt?

Sadly, approximately four million pets are euthanized each year in the US simply because too many people give up their pets and too few people adopt. By adopting you will help save the lives of TWO animals- the pet you adopted and the homeless animal who can be saved because of the space you helped free up.

Why should I spay/neuter my pets?

Four million cats and dogs, about one every eight seconds, are put down in US shelters each year. Often these animals are offspring of cherished family pets. Spay/neuter is a proven way to reduce pet overpopulation, ensuring that every pet has a family to love them.

Many cats and dogs who die as a result of pet overpopulation could have made wonderful pets. Between six and eight million dogs and cats enter US shelters every year; far too many to all find homes. (www.hsus.org)

A solution is possible and starts with each of us taking one small step in spaying/neutering our own pets. To further help with the pet overpopulation, consider adopting your next pet.
